50 people from over 20 countries visited the Youth Ministers Forum event. As part of the event, they took tours of Samsung Heavy Industries, Kia Motors, KAIST and other organizations from the high-technology field. The group included representatives from the Korean National Assembly, Busan Council, Daegu Council and other Government bodies.
The Ministers visited Jeonju on the 13th July even though they had a very busy schedule. They did an inspection of the Jeollabuk-do biology development institute, which is where Unhwa’s advanced therapy products are made. The representatives were very impressed when they saw the world’s first cultivation of plant stem cell by Unhwa on the tour.
They were also surprised by the skills involved in making the advanced therapy products. Uganda’s Youth Minister Ronald Kibuule met representatives from Unhwa already last June and they had a great time together so this meeting was more significant for both sides.
The tour began with a welcome speech from Unhwa’s President in the Jeollabuk-do IYF center introducing the plant stem cell and explaining about the Ddobyul techniques. He then expressed his appreciation to the International Youth Forum and the Jeollabuk-do Institute for hosting the forum event. After the speeches, the group had dinner while listening to traditional Korean Pansori singers and musicians, which they enjoyed.
